I am a devoted wife, mother, educator, Christian, and community leader running to represent Minnesota State Senate District 26. My husband Ben and I have raised our children in this community of Winona that we love, instilling the values of faith, family, and service in our home and beyond. We are so proud of our children – six of them are young adults and we have one teen daughter left at home!

My roots in the Midwest and Southeast Minnesota shape my understanding of the real challenges and opportunities facing families, small businesses, and rural communities across Fillmore, Houston, Mower, and Winona Counties. I was raised on ethics of hard work – “be the solution, not the problem” – and servant-hearted living. My life’s work reflects a strong commitment to education, mentorship, and service — both inside the classroom as a teacher and coach, and beyond it by mentoring youth through my church and volunteering with local organizations.

As a foster parent, I have lived with compassion and dedication to support children and families in crisis, bringing firsthand insight into how public policy impacts real lives – and not always in the best way. I have also served on community boards and contributed to local animal welfare efforts. My life is about action. I am driven and hard-working, and I take effort seriously when it comes to creating a better world and future.

I am running for the Minnesota Senate because I believe in a thriving, affordable, and opportunity-rich future for every family in District 26. I understand that strong schools, sustainable small businesses, vibrant towns, and flourishing farms are the backbone of our communities — and I am committed to policies that support those priorities. I also proudly support our military and Veterans, as well as law enforcement. My campaign stands on the principles of faith, family, education, integrity, and service, and I am honored to work alongside those who share my vision for a stronger Minnesota.
